Suggestion: Air phase replay

Post by nukkxx5058 »

Hi,just an idea: would be fine if during the air phase phase resolution (when air is AI managed) we could decide the message level according to the type of action. For example would be good to be able to set the message level to 1 for reco mission (no window will open), air interdiction and air combat and to 2 or any higher level to bombing city. This would allow to easily filter according the type of action. Bombing cities results are generally more interesting to read than an area observed or simple air combat. A simple menu with boxes to tick by type of event would do the job.
Just an idea ...

Currently it should be possible to toggle air execution detail level per air directive (air directive summary screen - Shift-d). So you can set recon AD to NONE (which should be default) to hide all messages.

Ah ! This seems to be what I was looking for ! I guess you're talking about the last column to the right (exec details) ? Will definitely give it a try! Thank you.

Just one question about the "air execution phase summary" screen. At the bottom of the screen is "Naval patrols" section but it looks different and without details like for other doctrines. Just 2 numbers for the number of sorties and lost aircraft. Is it normal or do I have a display issue ?

there are two types of naval patrol mission. One is a set AD with planes etc, that'll appear in the main list.

the other is the generic missions that Air Commands will fly on instruction. This is the regular patrolling etc that sets the base levels of interdiction, its also why you may see lost naval planes even if they have no active AD.
