France Surrenders after Fall of Paris?

hey there,
I just had something strange happen in my current multiplayer match: I have just captured Paris after a more or less normal battle of France, but instead of getting the option to form Vichy, all of France has surrendered just now.

I wanted to know, has anyone had any similar experiences to help me understand why this happened?

to clarify, I have no axis units anywhere near the French territory in North Africa, I have however, captured the NM objectives in France itself, I think Lyon and Marseille. Also, my opponent bought a number of garrisons for the French to slow my advance and I destroyed many of them, could that have reduced their NM? Finally, I checked french NM just before the surrender and it was 25%, is that unusually low?

This happened to me too on a recent PBEM game. No invasion of N Africa but all of France and colonies but Madagascar became Axis occupied when Paris fell- including French Polynesia. A good bit of the French army and fleet had been destroyed but I did not check the NM the turn before.

Happened as well in both my Allied and Axis games, all of France and North African colonies occupied by axis next turn after Paris collapse.

If you apply the hotfix found in the link below, and start a fresh campaign using the hotfix EXE, it will fix this issue for you. Note this is for Matrix installs only at the moment:

Is this a new hotfix, additional to the v1.06.01 hotfix? In other words, do we need to install this even if we have already installed v1.06.01?

Just the one hotfix labelled v1.06.01, some just might not have been aware of it which is why I mentioned it again here.
