v1.00.06U5 available in BETA

Post by AlvaroSousa »

I am hoping this version is the next official patch.

The big scenario change is that rail repair rate went from 2 per turn to 3 hexes per turn. This should encourage some defending up front by the Russians. Otherwise the Germans will push far very quickly.

This was based on research I did on rail repair on the Eastern Front. I wanted an elegant solution to the 100% completely run away strategy which wasn't much for the Axis player.

This seems a bit dangerous to me. Had the impression Russians struggled in 41 not the other way around. I have played 5 games vs humans 3 of those the Axis have won by doing a early as in March April Barbarossa but I guess we have to test it to see [:)].

If you are defending it doesn't make a difference. And other factors are involved too.

Like are the Allies maximizing convoys to you? This is quite important
How hard are you counter attacking? There is a balance here to be made between delay and attack

The change for this only affects Russians that completely run away from the front line. Which isn't good for the game. The idea in Russia is to delay the Germans.

Something I noticed in the newest beta U6 version.

Partisan issue spawning in ZoC around Brest Litovsk.

Oh yeah, this is the 1942 campaign playing hotseat.
