Possible reason for attachment problems?

Possible reason for attachment problems?

Post by widowmaker »

Could this be the reason we're having trouble posting export files?

Valid file extensions: bmp doc gif jpe jpeg jpg pdf png psd txt zip

This is listed at the bottom of the "post thread/reply" screen. I don't see ".xch" listed.

As it stands right now, I'm guessing we'd have to change the name of the .xch file to an accepted name (.txt, for example), then post the file. Anyone downloading it would need to change the name back to .xch in order to import.

Cumbersome, but possible. Can the forum engine be updated? I'm guessing not.

That`s why you make the .xch file into a .zip file with your zip facility before you post it. You`ll notice the attachments are all .zip files.

Right. Of course. Makes perfect sense. Pardon me while I bury my head in the sand. :o
