End September

Berlin falls.

Thanks for the game MM and credit for playing it out to the final whistle.

Have had a lot of fun with Warplan but that is all my games complete and not expecting to start any more for now.

The lark, signing its chirping hymn,
Soars high above the clouds;
Meanwhile, the nightingale intones
With sweet, mellifluous sounds.
Enough of Stalin, Freedom for the Ukraine !

Interesting, I can play and start the next turn - game was not cleared from the server.

You have to take every city in Germany before Germany will surrender.
Then you will get a screen that tells who won (Allied or Axis).

The "End of Game Victory" screen uses the individual country's VP which I find always shows France and Italy doing the best. Has to do with what unit you allow to capture a VP hex and somehow France and Italy always come out ahead on that. Also, to run the totals up you have to hold off conquering Germany so you can run up the numbers. They aren't prorated for the time of year.

End of the war

Yes I was thinking that since VPs tick in each turn a early win is actually detrimental for VPs. Something that maybe should be looked at. So gogo Italy. They were not that many turns away from major victory [:)].

Anyways thanks for the game Tyrone. I will think a little bit and maybe write a little bit about the game later. Was great fun and kids don´t try a 42 Barbarossa at home [:)].

It looks like they need to add all the VP that would be gained for the currently held VP hexes by running the clock to 1945 before calculating country victories.
