Version 1.06.01 is officially out

Post by Daniele »

Hi everybody,

Version 1.06.01 is now officially released! Thanks to everyone who participated in the Beta with feedback and suggestions.

You can download the update from here

v1.06.01 Changelog

GAME ENGINE CHANGES/FIXES
- Fixed several text display issues under German, French and Spanish localization.
- Fixed several other text display issues within the various popup, information and question boxes when text was at or over maximum line length.
- Fixed an issue where a Fortified Town that became a Capital was reverted to a City instead of back to a Fortified Town when the Capital setting was reversed (Captain Tuttle).
- Fixed an issue where units arriving from a UNIT script event could not reinforce/upgrade/operate/transport. Now only those that arrive during a country join event will be restricted for the very first turn they arrive.
- Fixed a bug that allowed AI Engineers to reinforce after an attempted move towards a fortification building position (bootlegger267).
- Fixed a SURRENDER_2 game engine handling error that did not properly convert enemy hex control in some situations (Mithrilotter).
- Fixed a rare error that provided some Tank units with immediate entrenchment after moving when it should have been set to zero.
- Custom campaign strategy guides will now launch from the campaign Manuals folder, previously it was the Docs folder, e.g. Campaigns\_myCustomCampaign\Manuals\Strategy Guide.pdf

All Campaigns
- Amphibious Transport (Long Range) increased from nil to zero for all applicable nations so as to enable them to increase via Amphibious Warfare research.

1939 Campaigns
- Fixed an AI OFFENSIVE plan error that had the US AI attack Tangiers when Spain was not yet in the war.
- Fixed Vichy France creation script event error (Erse, Ragu).
- Fixed a Norwegian surrender script event error (Carsten).
- Added a DE 318 UNIT event for when 'no' is selected (sschnar1).

Hi,
I installed 1.06.01 and confirmed it. I'm getting a "Client Mismatch" message when I try to access PBEM. Messages says I need to have 1.06.01...and I do, but it still won't let me access my games.

Thanks

Is there any reason to download this version if you have already downloaded the v1.01.01 hotfix?

Do those of us who manually installed the 1.06.01 beta hotfix still need to officially upgrade to the official 1.06.01 version?
In other words, is there anything in this official patch version that was not included in the beta version?

Just to clarify, the previous v1.06.01 hotfix is no longer compatible, everyone will need to update to the official v1.06.01 release version (download link above) as soon as is convenient and it should resolve the PBEM++ client mismatch issue.

So we can apply the official 1.06.01 directly over the 1.06.01 hot fixed version, right?

Thanks,

I have SC WaW from GOG. I found it a somewhat peculiar that the GOG version was already at version 1.06.01 when Matrix released the 1.06.00 update. The GOG 1.06.01 update was released 17 February.

Hi Edorf,

The only thing I could find was the one thread where a player has been posting the changelogs and one of them is listed as v1.06.01 for February 17th, but it should read v1.06.00. Is this your reference?

If so, this is not an official thread, just as mentioned by the player himself, something he's been posting for World at War over there.

Hi, Hubert

My reference is from the installer version on the download page. The installer is labeled as version 1.06.01. In the changelog on the same page, under the “More» tab, it also refers to 1.06.01 (17 February). GOG also have a separate patch available for updating 1.06.00 to 1.06.01 and this patch was released 17 February.

Not sure what to say as we just released v1.06.01 a few days ago officially. I suspect there is a typo in there for the GoG version which must be referring to v1.06.00 as v1.06.01 as you can see that we released v1.06.00 on February 17th from this link here:

https://www.matrixgames.com/forums/tm.asp?m=4764704

If the version change notes details of the GoG v1.06.01 match v1.06.00 then that would confirm it.

Probably a typo on GOGs part. Anyways, the most recent patch was released over there today.

I am playing two different games since this update as the Axis. In one Russia jumped to "prepared for war" the war in March of 1941 without any unusual provocations (I did take Lithuania event, but never cause this before), causing me to have to attack in April. In the other, I invaded England in June 1940 and the next turn the Russians are 88% towards war! What the heck?! I've been playing a while and have invaded England before without triggering the Russians to make a major leap towards war. Did they tweak something?

I have checked the scripts and there is nothing that drastic affecting the USSR in there, 20-25% for invading the UK, and the same for taking Lithuania.

Something else must be at work, and if you have a save file from around the time of any increases like this, and before the USSR enters the war it could be useful to gain a better picture of what might have happened.

If you have, please email it to me at Bill.Runacre@FurySoftware.com

Thanks

In next update can you consider to add one Corps unit for Croatia. Croatia had 180.000 strength army during it's peak (1944-1945) ? :)

What are these script errors? I can not find the difference, I just updated my mod through every version of changelogs but 16.01 changes are eluding me?

Vichy and Norway. I understand Vichy now, what was the change to Norway surrender that causes a bug?

#GV= 1[1,50] was changed to #GV= 5[1,50] for DE 643 in the SURRENDER_2 file, which in the #NAME was also amended to DE 613 as the link is #LINK= 613[1]
