Determination of Weather

Fury Games has now signed with Matrix Games, and we are working together on the next Strategic Command. Will use the Slitherine PBEM++ server for asynchronous multi-player.

Determination of Weather

Post by canuckgamer »

Is the weather determined by a "die roll"? In my current PBEM game it is mid October and still no mud in Russia so I assume that it varies from game to game based on some sort of probability table. When is the earliest that snow can occur in Russia? Thanks.

Alright, I love that movie, and that is funny.

However, the weather in this game is far too often not...

Ever have a Russian winter with no snow? Not funny, especially if you are the Allied player. Not funny at all. It has happened to me, yet has never happened in recorded history. It shouldn't happen in the game.

Ever read about sand storms in the middle east? They can be intense, but only last a few days. In this game, they quite often last for months.

Months.

On end.

Even in Norway, there is a summer. But in the game I am currently playing, there was wide-spread show in late July.

And it sucked.. for me.

WHINE.... WHINE..... Whine... Whine..Whine... whine..whine......whine..

Ultimately, it is a random element in the game, and extreme weather events often happen during wars.. look at history.

Who knows why... but it is indisputably true...
