Merging units

How can we merge units again? Having trouble trying to merge some UK divisions. Maybe I can't do it? Units can't be in garrison mode?

Ok, believe this is current...

To split a corps or armies, go to the details of the unit. To merge
smaller infantry units into a larger one, hover over a friendly unit
while holding down the ALT key and right-click on the target unit.
When merging only divisions can merge into other units. A split
army can merge into another split army. Small corps can’t merge
into a division.

Yes only divisions into small corps or other divisions
1/2 armies into 1/2 armies

So can I merge a div with a small corps to get a large corps? If not, how to get a large corps through merging units.

So there has to be a way to reform units into a large corps????

Div -> sm corps
Div -> lg corps
1/2 army -> 1/2 army

You can take a single 10 strength div and merge it into a 10 or 20 strength unit.

Make sure they are of the same type. Anti-tank won't merge with Assault.

They need to have enough movement. Including moving adjacent to enemy penalties.

I think they also have to have the same order...either Hold or Defend.

They either both have to be Garrison or both not. Garrison's are hard to merge though because they may not have enough movement.
I merge and split all the time.
