Request - show version of game on PBEM+

Would it be possible to include the game version on a PBEM+ challenge? I accepted a challenge, but based on weather in the western front, I don't believe I am playing against the most recent beta.

The Matrix internal system determines the version. Not the internal one. And beta is just beta. March 26th will update everyone to v1.00.06 official.

But the scenario has a version too, the one it was created with, correct?

The scenario itself doesn. Beta is exactly that, beta.

If you want to ensure you start exactly a beta game then create one. The other player will use that scenario as well. if he has v1.00.05 then the rules are slightly different.

A few thoughts:

1. Scenarios do have a version, maybe no officially, but as they change they are a new version. But this might be a challenge. However, my thought was that the version of the EXE used to create the challenge could be appended to the name of the challenge.

2. Along those lines, any chance to name challenges?

3. Finally, and this is a little off topic, it would be helpful is player messages were more prominent (at least I don't think they are prominent). I have sent player messages the last few turns and they are getting ignored. Two ideas.

a. If there is a player message, pop it up.
b. Include player messages, or the fact that there is a play message, in the main report screen shown immediately.

Interesting. I've never seen it, but that might be because no one ever sent me a message.
