Version Install Process

Post by db2000 »

Hi Folks,

Just getting back into WITPAE and wondered if anyone can point me in the right direction as a lot has probably changed. Currently I am running version 1.8.11.26A July 10 2016. This was from the stock updates within the original game. What is the current sequence for updates, betas etc. so I can stay upto date with other players. I have seen a file for seabee_install but have decided to check here first. Many thanks

Use seabee to get your switches and such set correctly.

11.26a is the current version. There is a beta available (11.26b) here, but you'll be fine with the version you have.

Assuming you downloaded and installed the base (2009) game from Matrix before installing the .1126a patch. The patch will not work without the base game being installed first.

To make matter more complicated, there are also updates for Scenarios, which you have to download from this forum, and updates for AI, which you have to download from forum separately from Scenarios.

LOL thanks guys. This complexity just gets better. I'll give the beta a try and see where that leads. At least that will be upto date and I will worry about scenarios on an adhoc basis unless anyone has done a file to update all of them. Thanks ;0)
