Sorry to hear about the trouble, can you please place the following file (via the download link below) in the following hidden folder on your end as this will resolve the issue for you.

C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\My Games\Strategic Command WWII - World at War\PBEM++\<matrixusername>

I was able to open the game on a different PC and worked thru the issue. It did not come back.
