The Poles have stopped surrendering

Post by sillyflower »

Since I got .06 instead of an honourable surrender, the Polish gov't just legs it to London, leaving all their armies in situ to be killed. I've tied several strategies to get a clean surrender but without success.

No hint of this change in the patch note. Apart from the chore of having to go around killing out of supply Poles, does the change have any other effect on the game?

Not seeing it. Works as it has always worked before. Playing 1.06, I took the red circled cities and the Poles surrendered:

Yes, Poland surrendered message is still there using 1.00.06. This is turn 2.

Exactly what I did in several different ways and on different turns except that I think I ignored Poznan. Only since 1.06 have I had this happen. I'ver never had polish gov't going to Poznan though - only to Lodz or Krakow before gov't flees without surrendering.
I will try again taking P too......
Anyone know what if any difference for the rest of the game if if gov't goes to London?

It seems that the secret is to take Poznan before (or, presumably at least, in the same turn as) all of the other 3 cities. Poles then surrender normally. A bit weird perhaps, but there we go

Would still love to know if the Poles do anything in exile
