So I'm taking over as Japan and we are in April of 1945. Rodger pretty much has things wrapped up and I'm coming in as the relief pitcher for Japan, primarily so I can learn what options I have when the Allies come-a-knocking.

So I've sent the next turn off to Roger. I'll try a small carrier strike to the east while routing a SCTF up towards Tsushima.

I've shut off everything - armament, factories, everything and brought up a few refineries in the home islands to see if any oil will flow to refineries that are on. All but a few bases seem to be out of fuel, out of supplies, or out of both.

At this stage, I think the best I can do is toss in a few roadblocks. What I'd really love to do would be to build at least a few fighters as Rodger's bombers are gunna pound Japan to paste...

We'll see what happens, but in the end, this is very much a learning experience and it lets Rodger get that rare allied enjoyment of getting even for that first part of the war.

Here is proof the Russians are coming. They are also pushing across the border in Manchouko by ground with air support to soften up my Japanese troops. Since all of the base have zero (or close to that) in supplies and most of my troops are deep into the red for supplies, the Russian air-2-ground attacks are basically churning my troops into butter.

So I've sent the next turn off to Roger. I'll try a small carrier strike to the east while routing a SCTF up towards Tsushima.

I'd think about kamikazing the **** out of those TFs in the Sea of Japan and NW/NE of Hokkaido. Follow up with / combine with a carrier strike.

lol - yup, my time in Manchuoko looks like it will be somewhat short.

Most of the enemy taskforces you see NW/NE of Hokkaido are small ship TFs according to mouse-click intel.

I did get in a kamikaze attack on the next turn. One of the challenges is that almost every base is at 0 supplies and most of the air units are at zero or low numbers ready with the majority of the airframes being under maintenance.

I've got a few transport aircraft and a few subs so I'm hoping to move a few supplies about on the map and we'll see what happens.

I'll post the next Combat Report and another pic or three in just a few.
