Trench warfare and armored warfare

Hi everyone,

I have two questions about the research part of the editor:

1.) How does trench warfare research actually work? I assume that every new level of trench warfare research increases the max entrench value of units but in the editor there is no indication that it would have any effects on corps (all 0s)

2.) In the same section it can be seen that each level of armored warfare research increases the build limit for tank corps by 0.5. How can I replicate this 0.5 number? I can’t input it manually, and the arrows only allow for integers (0,1,2, etc.)

I believe that the 'max entrench' value of units is different to 'maximum levels of trenches this unit can build'. I can't find a way to modify the latter either, though!

Hi

Trench Warfare increments to the maximum entrenchment level of an entrenched unit are hard coded within the engine, though I believe you could add extra attributes to the research category if you wished to, within the parameters available of course.

As to the ability to adjust Build Limits by 0.5 that will be introduced, it existed in our own internal workings but had not made it into the Editor proper, but that will change in a forthcoming patch. [:)]

Any chance of hard coded elements getting "softer" in the future? Like the entrench mechanic above or unit types and attributes associated to different types or HQ supply distribution and boosting rules or supply distribution in general?

I would be interested by that too, changing the 0.5 limit to something else.
