retreasts

Post by rickier65 »

I just completed the tutorial (yeah I know, I'm slow).

But I noticed that German crews that abandoned their vehicles, both tanks and half tracks would retreat through hexes that that I occupied.

i.e. Should retreating enemy units enter hexes occupied by friendly units?

Other than that, looks, sounds, andplays great. I thought the air support was just right, I was a little surprised to see one of my planes shot down, but, hey, thats what AA is for right?

Units that are "routed" are more than retreating. They are panicked units running for their lives.

When you see a unit running like that, you know it is out of control. As any panicked unit might do, its retreat is not well-planned.

As such, its quite possible for it to run into enemy units as it seeks to exit the battle.

So it is rather realistic, to be honest.

And yep! AA does get lucky every once in awhile.

Was the tutorial helpful to you?

Yes! Got me through the basics. Mainly learned to pay attention to penetration tables so I didnt waste my shots at long range.

I'm prniting the manual in stages. Now ready to finish printing the Detail Player.

Thanks to the whole crew there. Great Job!
