1.00.06: Air Resupply are never intercepted

Post by ncc1701e »

As per the manual:
Air Supply – Any unit that is out of supply may call an air transport to drop supplies to it. These supplies are not as good as being in primary or port supply. They raise the unit supply amount +1. Air transports are subject to interception and can be destroyed.

Two bugs in this thread:
1. Air Resupply are never never never intercepted. I have tried multiple times.
2. Manual states that the unit supply amount is raised by 1. But, compare the second and the third screenshot, the unit supply goes from 0 to 2.

Here is the situation on German side. I have an Air Superiority group near this unit. It is set to Full Support and has two missions available. I am ending the turn.

Clicking on the Air Supply button, the mission is going fine. There is never any kind of interception. And the unit supply go to 2.

It did fly. Check the combat logs. If it was escorted there is a good chance it gets through. If it is unescorted it automatically dies.

The report is not enough detailed to say anything. I am under impression it did not fly.

But, for me, a good indication that a support mission was done is to have the below blue icon on the map interface. And, I have not seen any. I assume that your code is calling the same class whatever the interception mission is.

At last, a result but linked to which criteria? Still no below blue icon indicating an interception mission was done.

Impossible to know in the report, why this report is not standard? Not the same generic class called?

No, no air icons that is why I was wondering if an interception was done. And moreover, the reports do not bring any data if the mission is a success or not.

But look, I have changed the position and I do not why but this time I am seeing a report almost correctly formatted with details. This is strange, seems random.

But still no air icons showing up in the case of this correct report.

I say a report almost correctly formatted because in the case of an escort mission the second Air to Air Combat paragraph indicates the losses of bombers. In the above report, it misses the losses on the air transport if your code is going in this level of details.

Here is a screen of Tactical Air group bombing mission escorted by fighters to compare.
