Retired now, so I'm already socially isolated.[;)]

Also happy that I purchased a bunch of new socks and underwear a couple of months ago.[:D]
As it seems that all the clothing industries are producing masks and PPE apparel for the frontline medical staffs.

As a veteran, I already have a 3 month supply of dehydrated stores on hand for emergencies.
And who runs out of toilet paper, soap and bleach anyway.
Aren't those items needed for everyday usage?[:D]

As long as you have toilet paper and coffee no worries. [;)]

A clean plastic bottle fixed onto a broken branch with the broken end in the bottle to collect the sap which is potable.

edit: Your picture is of a ranger unit. Didn't they teach things like that?

I'm more sophisticated than that, I have a portable hand held sump pump.
You can use the sap method, the bulk method is better for retaining a surplus for storage.

Ranger Class 9-77, what about you.[;)]

Thank you!!

It shows how horribly unprepared and over-reactive our society is for the most part. For example, keeping a week's worth of food on hand at all times is really easy. More than a week's supply takes a little more effort. As for TP, omg how hard is it to buy one of those 48 roll bundles and when you get down to 12 go buy another? And anyone with one of those 'spare' or 'extra frig's should have no problem keeping several liters of water and rotate them out with fresh every now and then. [How long does water keep in the frig anyway?]

On the positive side, maybe people will now think that local production is beneficial. Cost reduction has reached its limit.

When one considers the cost of transportation and possibly the cost of paying for the goods before they leave the country of origin, it may not even be cheaper. The opportunity cost of not having the money if you pay for the goods weeks before you sell them instead of being able to sell them and then pay for them may be overlooked.

That last one about the animals reminded me of another video where gangs of monkeys were fighting each other because the tourists who typically fed them were gone. So there is a give and take. Animals relying on human intervention are starving. Ones that are not are finding a new world open to them. [;)]
