F1 should I really see the Allied air bases

Post by Cavalry Corp »

Dear all,

When I do a transfer in the 1943 -45 Italy campaign (just started) I can see the number of planes on the Allied air bases in Sicily, surely that should not be correct.
In addition a couple of turns ago when I went to transfer a unit or HQ to a higher command I also got the option to transfer it to some of the Allied commanders this obviously is not correct.

Just for your information.

Sorry that should say F10 in the header- that is air transfer.

the info may not be correct, will depend on your detection level. But with the f10 key depressed you just see a visual representation of what is reported if you mouse over an enemy air base. So its not new but it is more obvious in that particular mode.

Not when I mouse over - when I press the F10 I can see all the allied bases on Sicily with exact number of planes etc. Displayed just like mine. Except I cannot visit the allied base that's all.

Cavalry - I don't think you mentioned, but can I assume you're playing the Germans?

What release of the game are you using? You can see that in the title bar.

Will do next time - I am playing axis and on V 1.02.59 I can see the levels of all allied bases when I press F10 for air transfer

here you go - its the same as I can see by mousing over in other game modes, doesn't show anything that is otherwise hidden:

its a product of the display mode, you can see those numbers if you place the mouse over the airbase in some other modes.

Now the big question is can you trust it?

totally depends on both your detection level for the hex and when you last ran some recon.
