sharing a mod to other players

Post by dcinlassen »

hello all..I am a bit dense at times and do not understand how I share a mod on multi player games. I made the mod and it shows on my options for multi player game selection. can other players use it? do i have to email the file to any other player who wants to play the game with me? any help is appreciated and would like to thank all those who have helped me in the past on here with questions!..

Both players have to have the exact same version/mod to play pbem.

The above applies to mods that are not cosmetic (i.e. graphical/sounds).

I am still unclear on the answer to this question. How exactly would my opponent in a PBEM game get a mod which I created? If I issue a PBEM challenge using a mod I have created and saved, will my opponent receive that mod when he accepts the challenge and starts the game?

You would have to arrange for your opponent to get the mod (and install it) outside of the game environment.
Email (if size allows), Upload/download on a shared storage site (including posting it here on this forum), or if local you give them a thumb drive.
