Still worth it?

Choosing between this and digital tactical by Lin - digital has two advantages - one is price (why I’m asking here.) and two I do most of my work on mac but have a windows laptop. This however looks to have more complexity and the sheer amount of content (scenarios)

So?

Games in general, especially this one for all its greatness, needs to be supported from time to time. Check out the Campaign Series if you want to see some true support!

The last time the developer of this game posted on this forum was 5/3/2019....just saying.

Is it still worth it, you make that decision.[;)]

I would buy Lock and Load Tactical. At 75.99 Tigers on the Hunt is very expensive. You may want to wait until it is on sale.

i agree with your comment big ivan.
i realise peter has been ill.
but his last login was the 31st march 2020. but his last post was 5/3/2019
thinking the development of the game has stopped but still hoping to sell a few copies.
if you are reading this peter , please kick my butt , and say hi , i dont expect patches or upgrades ,
but just let the strong community you created know how you are foremost , and secondly that you are
still supporting the game :)

thank you for all you have done

Peter is reading and following this forum but still recovers from his illness. I'm here to take care of things and talks to Peter every now and then. Peter would love to do more but just can't at the moment.

lock n load.

this game has run its course. its got nowhere to go that it couldn't have gone within 3 months of release.

it can't add another DLC because the 2 offered; don't work.

It can't add anything else because it's got to keep its distance from ASL/SL.

couldn't even add new terrain pallets.

japanese. british. french. probably cause they would need ASL rule sets.

users had to add all that plus the scenarios

interface is a difficult...

and then their is the AI...

Get well Peter and have fun playing ASL.

Move on and let Pete get some rest removed from the stress of TotH.

A DLC with actual enhancements would sell. The more enhancements to TotH,
the more players will pay. If capitalism can't make it happen then I doubt
anything will. Looks like TotH has enter into retirement mode, just like me.

I got the whole TotH series during the sale at 60% off, well worth it.

Good score! I remembered posting that the game was marked down cheaper
than the DLC's. [:)]

Me too, worth every penny and I wondered why I hadn't got it earlier. As I said in the scenarios section, big thanks to Peter for his excellent work and to all of the scenario developers for constantly adding great new content. Many thanks guys

I like both games, but ToTH has more meat on the bone, IMO. Play Ln'L if you want to fight out smaller, quick skirmishes, play ToTH if you want to slog your way through deeper battles with more breadth.

Also, ToTH has a great editor which doesn't appear available for the newer Ln'L game. If the latter doesn't produce one soon, I think enthusiasm will fade out fairly quickly, albeit after most of the forthcoming DLC's are all released.

hey Paullus ,

Peter is reading and following this forum but still recovers from his illness. I'm here to take care of things and talks to Peter every now and then. Peter would love to do more but just can't at the moment.

this is my whole point.
you claim peter is reading and following this forum while recovering .
my personal experience is it takes a lot longer to log in and read the forum , than to post a thread saying hi.

his last login - the 13th of april 2020

logging in constantly but avoiding any communication with the community makes me think this fish is dead in the water

its rubbish rico.
I haven't been able to work for 12 months or so now due to illness,
cant even go outside , but I can use my hands to log in and post my usual babble .
peter constantly logs in , guess his hands are working as well ,
reads the forums , so the mind still remembers passwords etc ,
but does not reply .
the game has gone as far as it will , such a shame

I love the game , but feel it has been deserted , not by the community .
the community is the most outstanding part of ToTH
