On turn 17, I had a in supply hq, show up as destroyed. It was surrounded only on turn 17 and in the russian turn the hq was started on the far east board map.

i thought in supply hq's would rout out of a same turn pocket not be destroyed?

also rout routine is still sending hq's and displaced airbases to other spots on the front line. Is this fix still pending?

Yes, it should rout, unless it was supplied by sea. Do you have saves/screenshots?

Fix is developed and units retreat to the rear correctly, it will come with next patch.

The 26th Army hq in question was just west of Tula ( attached to SW corp), other hq's got caught in same huge pocket. It most likely was in a rout spot, and moved during the German break thru.

It came back at far right edge, at full toe but inexperienced. It became directly attached to STavka. It had 4 units attached which were still attached when i got the move. They were in the pocket. All of its support units were gone.

I had a similar issue with an airbase surrendering while in supply:

Maybe they tried to retreat into that small pocket?

Thanks for a save, I have replicated it and the unit was indeed destroyed. From how the animation looks, it tried to retreat into next hex, instead of doing a displacement move. And that hex was full and the unit was destroyed. A unit which cannot retreat should try to make a displacement move. Also, non-combat units should make a displacement move immediately, without trying to retreat. I have replicated it, but have no time to work on the fix now. It will have to wait till next evening. Many thanks for the save, it was crucial to replicate the problem. And a replicated bug means a squashed bug.
