[Resolved] Loading save causes ERROR: Object reference not set to an instance of an object

Post by Sniper31 »

I am dealing with the "ERROR: Object reference not set to an instance of an object" ever since updating to the v 1.01 1134.3 build (non-Steam) when trying to load a save game file (standalone scenario 'Shamal').

Also, I have a save game file to upload, but when I try to upload it I get a fake path error.

Hi,

If you apply the current public update and resume from the most recent save, does the problem happen again ?

I will download that update, test and report back. I thought I had downloaded the latest update, but apparently not.

Okay, I got build 1139.2 installed, and I still get the same save game error message.

I conducted further testing:

I started a new standalone scenario, 'Act of War, 1968' and saved, then exited. Re-loaded fine without the error. Also started a new 'Shamal' scenario with this build, 1139.2, ran it for a bit, saved, then re-loaded without error.

So, I suspect my problems were all related to that earlier build.
