How does one download an events log from a scenario?

You might try using the "scenario dump" feature of the scenario editor.

Open the scenario editor, then open the scene you want. After the scene is loaded, you can then do "File .... Dump Scenario As ...." and it creates a file that you can open in Notepad or a text editor. That file gives some information about the events. An example of part of the "scenario dump" I did for the Brusilov 1916 (for an example) is shown in next post.
