"can you please tell Warspite that I do not wanna fly the Potez in the 4PG" - Jesper.

Why mention just the Potez? Does that mean the bomber flies then?
Jesper is out of town and sent the previous via skype. Just sent your new question via skype and will post as soon as I get a response assuming one comes in in the next few minutes.

Up briefly because of thunderstorms. It's 2 am here. [:(]

Yuk - hope they pass quickly.

Storms have passed and I'm going back to bed; but, for better or worse I'll make the call. No bombers fly.

Thanks! It's really my oldest "dog of war" that got me up. Thunderstorms, and we get quite a few here, freak her out. She woke me up and not the storm. [X(]

Thank-you - I trust your dogs of war frightened the storm away - what with being fearsome looking attack dogs an' all? [:D]

Land Combat:
Germany

So the Germans go for the Blitz table and the Fractionals fail (739 thrown). The modifiers settle on +18 and the land throw is a 7(23).

Two French are destroyed and one shattered - I convert to retreat. In order to move the game along I assume the cheap GARR are destroyed. Please let me know if not what you wanted.

Absolutely. Actually, what calms her is her in her bed and me playing MWiF in my study. Funny, it doesn't bother her if I roll good or bad. It only matters that I'm playing and she's lying right beside my desk. [:D]

Yes for update to latest patch. In fact, I'm going to jump the gun and update now to 3.1.0.3. [8D]

Japan chooses a land move.
Ground strikes : Two bombers, the Ki-30 and Ki-32 missed HQ Mao on his retreat.
Both bombers return WHENCE (where they came from).
We await the movement phase.

Declarations of War and Alignments: None

Japan: Land
Germany: Land
Italy: Naval

Naval Air: None

Naval Movement:
Italy

Almost the entire Regia Marina puts to sea. I say 'Do Not Intercept' as its obvious they are staying in the sea area.

Two submarines head for Cape St Vincent, two cruisers escort a convoy in the Italian Coast, with another cruiser providing distant cover. In the Eastern Mediterranean, two more cruisers escort a convoy and a TRS to the 0-box. A cruiser takes up picket duty in the 3-box and a seven-strong fleet occupy the 2-box along with a submarine.

No combat is initiated in the CSV, but combat is initiated, by the San Giorgio, in the Eastern Med. The sub is included.

Axis - 8
Allies - 3

What does the CW want to do? The most obvious choice is to fight either the picket or the two cruisers, TRS and CONV in the 0-box but I don't know what the surprise points are for each as I have to choose the sea boxes before advancing the program.

EDIT: Okay I've saved various versions.
- If you attack the 0-box you have 8 surprise points and the best you get is 1 destroyed and 1 damaged vs 1 damaged

- If you attack the 3-box you have 5 surprise points and the best you get is 1 damaged vs 1 aborted.

- Or you could avoid combat.
