On the 7th February 2012 I had the pleasure of being able to announce to you all that I had reached 4,000 posts. I know how pleased you all were for me.

...

4,000 posts in a single day? Truly, that's an achievement. You and Chickenboy.

On the 7th February 2012 I had the pleasure of being able to announce to you all that I had reached 4,000 posts. I know how pleased you all were for me.

Now, just over two months later, that total has reached an incredible 5,000 posts . Yes, 5,000 posts . What is so pleasing in reaching this milestone is that every single post has had a certain something:

Wit, intellect, genius, inspiration...are just some of the words that cannot be used to describe the bilge I bore you with [>:] (if indeed you can be bothered to read - or in the case of nate25, if you have the ability to read).

But I could not have done it without my friends (in no particular order - except uhm alphabetical [&:]):

natester [&o]
Ormster [&o]
Steiner [&o]
Yogi The Great..er...ster [&o]

Some eight years has passed, and 36,000+ more posts. And soon there will be a new master of these forum. [&o] [;)]

It has been a pleasure reading all those 41,000+ posts. The literary value has increased as the post number has increased. And that is an incredible feat considering how awesome the quality was in the beginning. Not even one superfluous post. All sheer genius. [&o]

If I recall, the one after that was the start of Warspite's infamous sequence of lower quality posts before he returned to his usual standards somewhere around post #41403?

From memory the only post that met the "this is not a complete pile of bilge" criteria was posted on 29 April 2011. Even if I do say so myself, I think the quality of that post shone through, and is an example to all posters who came after. Such is the richness of this piece of verbiage, I believe it worth repeating in all glory:

At 10 posts/day, you would reach 100K posts in another 16 years. But using Corona virus accelerated posting, that is achievable in as few as 10 years.

I think that using BPB will accelerate posting tempo even further. But BPB should be used with care since the effects can be deadly.

Stop selling yourself short! [:@] Your contributions to this forum are myriad and your presence (in addition to my own, of course) on this illustrious site a virtuous and transcendental enlightenment for all to behold.

I remember, in days of yore, when you entered an argument-already well underway as is your wont-to bring the codswallop-heavy argument to a close. After your post, all members [fnar fnar] pushed themselves from their keyboards where they were frantically and feverishly typing a rebuttal to the rebuttal to the previous rebuttal. You brought them to agreement and stopped the flamewar in its tracks with your simple, yet plain truths. I still remember what you said to this day that brought everyone to their senses and it will always be impressed upon my memory as a manifestation of veritable truth.

You said, "I agree with Chickenboy."

And that was that.

Of course, that doesn't account for the other 41,400 posts.

Indeed. The favoured approach, is to lean over the seated Chickenboy, patting him condescendingly on the forehead, while turning to the audience and - while shaking one's head - saying (as though one were talking to a child) "That's right Chickenboy!"
