Is there a way to change an advancement on a unit? I think I saw a thread in the past that said you had to disband it and buy a new unit.
Thanks for any info.

I haven't found a way, but I didn't know that you could get the speciality points back if you disbanded. Never wanted to take the risk!

Don't want to try also... But, yes you can't change an advancement that is funny. Because, if you compare Europe 1941 and Europe 1944 scenario, seems lot of German infantry corps on Eastern Front have already switched from Assault to Anti-Tank.

Since I'm just learning the game and starting over many times, I disbanded a full strength Corps and seemed to get 100% manpower and 50% production back.

That is correct. There is no way to change the advancement.

You could sell completely beat up units then build fresh ones which represents rebuilding a division.

I also discovered that you get 100% logistics back when you disband a unit.

Quite right since logistics is the transportation burden to supply your existing units. A former unit uses no supplies.
