In his Palazzo Il Duce groans as he wanted to be the one to declare war, and now those pesky Western democracies beat him to it.
He solemnly wows that his alpini army shall reach Paris before Adolf does.

Please set up INF and GARR in Turin and expect swift retaliation. [:)]

Port Attack: None
Naval Air: None

Naval Movement:
Commonwealth

The CW puts various units to sea on convoy duty. Small task forces are put into the Italian Coast, the Western Mediterranean and the North Sea. Cruisers are sent to the Eastern Mediterranean and the Baltic.

United States

Three TRS put to sea loaded with aircraft and Nimitz and head for Hawaii

Naval Search:
Commonwealth and French

There are three areas for potential combat:
Eastern Mediterranean Sea
Italian Coast
Baltic Sea

The Allies will try all three:

Eastern Mediterranean - the sub is committed

Allied - 10
Axis - 7

No combat

Baltic Sea

There are 3 cruisers in the Baltic, Arethusa and Galatea in the 3-box and Emerald in the 2-box. Do the Germans wish to bring in the NAV?

Allied - 9
Axis - 1

No Combat

Italian Coast

The sub is committed

Allied - 4
Axis - 3

In the Italian Coast the Allies have 6 surprise points. Naval Air is chosen and the points used to increase enemy damage. The convoy is destroyed.

I leave Nimitz embarked for now as debarking would disorganise the HQ. I hope Warspite1 is okay with it as he doesn't appear to be online at the moment and I want to move the game on.

No combats.

Two air units offload to Pearl.

Georges reorganises the two units at Lille and the Paris MIL.

Most of the weather clears up.

Germany DOW Belgium. US react with horror at this aggression against the world peace. One US entry chit added. (6 rolled)

Will Belgium align with France, or CW? (note the change in Vichy rules)

How will the Belgian Army be placed? Not shown are 2 CPs.

France rolls 3, while Italy rolls 6, and that gives France 3 surprise points. And that equals to no effect of the port strike.
