a potential scenario as Axis vs AI only.

I have made Scorched Earth, which is basically an extensive map mod, an alternative to the vanilla Europe 1939 scenario. It is instantly playable in all modes and balanced (like vanilla).

I was playing with the idea of making another scenario specifically for playing the Axis vs AI. I think most players still play wargames solo, so it might be worth the effort.

What do you think? Worth it? And if so, what would you change in the 1939 scenario (be it vanilla or Scorched Earth) to give a better experience playing the AI? I am thinking of things like making landing ships much more expensive, so early invasions are hardly an option. Or buffing the Soviet Union by making their initial forces slightly less crappy. Or even giving the Allied AI some extra units. Stuff like that.

Share your thoughts and I might give it a shot.

That would be great, whilst PBEM play is great, I often just don't seem to have the time (even now, as am busy WFH) to do the quick turnaround of turns usually expected from an opponent. Not sure that I know the game well enough yet to suggest what changes to make, though.

All suggestions for a better Axis vs AI game are welcomed. I have some of my own, but would really hear from other players as well.

One thing that I would like is if the Sitzkrieg were better represented. Historically, there were reasons why the Germans did not push into Benelux in November of 1939. In many games those reasons are poorly represented. This bad representation has become so common that an early offensive in the West is more or less standard in most games. In War Plan, the victory system even pushes you in that direction.
