Actually, "La Pantara Rosa" is the name of my favorite bar in Spain. :)

It's a tiny hole-in-the-wall joint in Palma, on the island of Mallorjca. Really good looking barmaids as I recall.

(All famous writers have to have a favorite bar in an exotic place...it's in the rulebook)
What, me worry?

When was the last time you where over in Palma, Bernie is the gut still just three blocks over from that little outside restrant where the road curves just down from the small port? I was there back in 83. Great place to visit and eat! :D

Ok, Bernie, you got me on the bar thing. When I played in a traveling band, the most exotic place we played was a bar located outside Ft. Stewart back in '78. The barmaids were of Oriental extraction--souvenirs from Vietnam? (I don't know--it was NOT a favorite gig--the barmaids were the only females there, and the US Army was not at a high point in its readiness at that time.) BTW, during this time my interest in wargaming & all things military was at a low point, too.

Well, I think you got me beat Don... The last time I had chili at Texas Jack's was in '76. Did they still run the cattle cars in Rota when you passed through?
