Supply interdiction

Post by Meteor2 »

In NA Tobruk is constantly raided by allied air (from where???).
My Italien fighters in Tobruk (!) are not able to hinder this.

Why?
How to counter these Raids?

Good question. My impression is that there is no auto intercept to prevent supply interdiction or lessen the effect of it. But I may be wrong.

I think there is a problem with air superiority group not intercepting allied air raids. See this thread:

And the supply interdiction value is somehow hard coded, I think.

And, by the way, interdiction of air resupply mission is doubtful as well:

Now I remember the other conversation, thanks.
These 40 or 60 numbers as losses should not be hard-coded (as I see it).
Sea traffic should be dependend on something (consumption, need and air cover).
The Italien fighter, not intercepting the incoming bombers is strange.
And of course, I would welcome a message where the bombers came from.
Crete? Malta? A Carrier TF?

Agree, the "Supply Interdiction" report of last turn is missing the location of the unit attacking. Like what I have asked for the air resupply mission, to show where the attack is coming from.

Air does intercept and escort but must be in support mode. I just checked the code. It might not be in 1.00.06 but it is in the beta 1.00.07U5
