I heard, saw, felt all the same when CM finally starting shipping way back when. I pre ordered that and watched as guys who ordered there's MUCH later got there's. BTS had a lot of trouble from their distrubution center and the process of who got what when really got fouled up. It wasn't personal and it's not personal now. If people who pre- ordered MC (I did) don't get first shipping days then it will be a learning lesson for Matrix, not us. Using outside vendors for shipping is always risky the first time out. Things will improve as the glitches are uncovered and resolved. When the first opportunity to pre-order a Matrix product comes along you can bet I'll be among the first....I like to put my money where my mouth is about wargaming...it's not really about of fast I get the game at all.

Cudos to "Les the Sarge 9-1" and "Mark Ezra"!!

I agree - Matrix has done everything they can. You can be sure that they are more upset about all this than you are. It's kind of like buying a Bar or pub and get it all ready then find out you have to wait another six weeks to get a liquor license - and all your friends are waiting for a drink. Who's more upset? All the build up and advertising are lost and your friends can go down the street and get a drink.

I'll definately pre-buy the next MC - I'm ready for it too!! And if I have to wait again - I'll wait.

I totally agree with you.
No, I'm not whining because someone else's game shipped before mine. I'm merely a consumer who happens to want the product he paid for with his hard earned money. Imagine that!?!?!

What David has gone through with the vendors he tried is unbelievable - in time and money lost, and in frustration. He called me last night to explain about my order, and it is hugely screwed up! But that's ok, because I know it'll be alright in the end. I think you'll find it'll be MUCH better in the future since the mistakes that happened this time won't happen again.

Just thought you should know that even though I have an e-mail from UPS saying my order shipped June 18, the status of my order at the Matrixgames "store" site is still shown as "processing." When I clicked on the order #, it then showed that it had shipped yesterday. So, FYI, "processing" can mean anything from still in the warehouse to in the big brown truck. You have to check specific status to get the details.

And I continue to support Matrixgames and assume that what we have here is a case of rookie mistakes. They are working to correct the problems, and they are being totally up front with information. I'll just assume they'll get this fixed. On the other hand, I've seen big game companies with lots of experience go through similar problems. The difference is that they don't tell you crap about what's going on.

Are you having it shipped by the post awful? Click the Order Number. You may be pleasantly surprised.

My order says 6-13 as well even though I ordered at the end of April. Maybe this has to do with the problems they had with the old store. Maybe my original order was just placed in the new store on 6-13.
Still, though after I clicked on the order number to see the details, I found I was still stuck in the dull "processing" stage. :(

Unfortunately do to the problems with the old store software, it was not possible to keep the "queue" of when orders was recieved intact, so depending on how jumbled your data got in tranistion, determines the ship date...but 90% should all go out this week so we are talking a matter of a couple of days.

Mine is supposed to arrive 6/22 from my pre-order. I've received all the confirmations along the line and I haven't been alarmed though the help desk thing has never worked for me. It doesn't accept any logonid I use or could imagine using, even my email address, so the password never got tried either. Despite that, I still had my original email confirmation, so I certainly felt there was no need for panic. Despite never getting onto the help desk, and I did wonder if it was a requirement to allow the processing, it looks as though I'll get it anyway.

I hope some year before the new games come out I'll be able to fugire out the helpdesk deal. In any case, email confirmation is good enough for me. If 6/30 comes and I still don't have it, then I'll email Matrix. I have to wonder if the t-shirt deal didn't complicate things a great deal. I did order one BTW.

You have to create a "new profile" and tell it the user name and password you want to use. Its like joining the forum fo the first time. Just don't use spaces in either and it will create a proile for you.

I tried my regular name and pw also and it didn't work - at the help desk - so I just created an account with the same name and pw and it worked. Then I got an answer very quickly on that issue, which led to another issue. So I used the help desk again and got an answer the next day.

I would try making a new account, Charles, as they are trying to reduce the volume of email they're getting.

Don: At least for the time being, I think I've figured correctly that I will get it when it said, it's just that it won't be updating the status beyond that, unless I use the helpdesk. It's not that I won't receive because I've yet to enter the helpdesk.

I'll probably give it a try later today, but I could've swore I tried the new account way of doing it with no success. There is a point where I'm afraid to do it, because I'm afraid I'll lose this logonid when I do, just like when the forum changed and I gave my email address as a fictional one (experimenting you see) and it sent the password to that address, so I had to reregister with a whole different name (Charles_22, as opposed to Charles22).

Its not so much about reducing emails, but making sure folks support requests don't get misiled or deleted or succomb to "I thought you had it". The helpdesk provides a structure for tracking and managing who does what in a way that you can't do with email.

Those of you with help desk issues still unaswered we will get to you!
