Destroying AA guns (or not)

Post by sillyflower »

I thought that under .06, overrun AA guns were destoyed. They aren't.

Image

Yes, the date is 7 June '40[X(]. My opponent attacked all winter (at very heavy cost) and took Paris this turn. However he neglects his rear, so I have channeled my inner sveint [:D]. Hamburg captured the previous turn and I'm still on the rampage. At end of my current turn, Hamburg still has its AA, which defeats part of the exercise of taking it, and the resource centre still has its after being captured this turn.

What about the Airfield that you can build and deploy? What is the rule? Can the built airfield be used by the enemy if it captures it? Or is it destroyed?

AA is working correctly. But you need a unit in the hex to destroy it. If you leave your coast open like that the enemy is going to have a party on your cities.

Airfields are captured.

Airfields are captured.

Makes sense, thanks. To add in the manual?

I uderstand the sense of the rule if you are just charging through a hex. Hoever I spent the enemy turn in Hamburg, and left for more plunder in my next. Was it necessay to stay put for 2 weeks to destroy the flak?

There was a small adjustment I had to made to combat. It was only recording retreats not shatters or surrenders.

So if he landed and attacked and forced a retreat then it gets destroyed
If you ran away and he took it he gets it

You can always move the AA on your turn.

Only if you have one unit in the hexes to move the AAA.

So I could have stolen Hamburg's flak then. How annoying not knowing I could have done this [:@]
