I can agree with that, but the troop losses are staggering too.

I think were only about 20 P-40K's when the shooting started. Some must have been hit repeatedly. Even so it was brutal. There are still 33 damaged planes there 2 days later after flying off what I could. As I recall, about 15 were flightworthy the next day.
