Murder Hornets

Can you believe this stuff, more invasions. Now, we have to deal with these hornets out west. Just great - I am going to Mars or Antarctica.

Oh yeah they came in some luggage just like some of the Asian fish that travel on a ship and end up in our lakes, rivers and also brought by people. They dump them in the lake and forget it. Kill everything

I remember reading about some British guy who enjoyed hunting rabbits. So he took bunch of them along to Australia and released them to the wild for hunting. It... gone horribly right

I don't understand why they say they are just being seen and only in the NW. We've had them on the East Coast in Maryland for 20 some years. They are very territorial and aggressive, and aren't afraid of humans. They tend to love burrowing in the cracks of concrete sidewalks and curbs. You can tell where they are by the piles of dirt near such cracks. They always have one or two 'sentinels' paroling the area and will buzz you when you get too close. I never got stung by one, but they are so big it is difficult to miss them. I once got fed up with being buzzed and used a can of that 20 foot wasp spray to defend myself. As I sprayed it at the Giant Asian Wasp it drank the stuff, spit some out, laughed at me, and flew on [:)]

Cool video, i didn't know but people are definitely saying they been here awhile in quite a few states. Looks like those Japanese honey bees got it figured out, someone should of told these bees.

Pretty cool video, you can see one bee pull a dead or injured buddy bee back and some riding on the Hornets back.

I think the ones you saw were European Hornets. Had some make a home behind the brick on my house (Virginia). Those guys are big (1.5-2 inches). I did not find them too aggressive, annoying yes, but not too bad.

I think those are different hornets..."murder hornets" are bigger and have more distinctive orange and black stripes on their abdomens.

I just hope that the sodomy rabbits never get a foothold here.
