Inept Japanese SF

Twice now I have noticed that when the Japanese 1st Kura SNLF attack a Chinese army in Nanning, they increase the defender's morale rather than decreasing it. There is no apparent reason for this - the defending Chinese took two damage, the SNLF took one. And, prior and subsequent attacks by other units decreased the defending Chinese unit's morale as they should have. So, is this the F Troop of Japanese units (shout out to my man Larry Storch, for all the Boomers in the audience)?

Heard of F Troop, but never seen. Must be good at passing out promotions to the enemy.

Personally, I'm looking for the Jap midget submarine seaman who landed on Gilligan's Island.

Thanks, does this only affect the one JA SNLF or does it affect all of them?

It's an issue in the combat calculations for any unit that demoralizes, such as a Special Forces unit. It is also not always an apparent issue which is probably why it has only been noticed now.

I did not notice the same bug with respect to the attacking JA armies, which also cause the defender to take a morale hit - the morale hit imposed by those attacking units appeared to work properly.

Interesting I didn't notice this bug. When I attack them with SF they get morale decrease...What I did notice sometimes if you don't do any damage by attacking enemy unit readiness increases.
