Both Denmark, and Netherlands, align with CW.

I await orders from my Axis brother, but in the meantime can you do the usual please vis-a-vis Denmark and The Netherlands? The Germans will be doing land. Thank-you.
We will not hold you to your declaration that Germany will be doing a land impulse. This because DOW, and setup, is before impulse choice. Feel free to change your mind.

Perhaps a pass impulse if I may suggest so? [;)] [:D]

Thanks for the tip. Okay, so the Germans pass this impulse.

Impulse: 3 (Axis)

Declarations of War and Alignments:
Germany

The Germans declare war on Denmark and The Netherlands. The US have obviously taken a collective holiday and the Nazi plans don't even register (9 and 8 are thrown).

Italy

Italy declare war on the CW and French. Congress appears to have woken up and a chit is added (a 4 is thrown)

Japan: Land
Germany: Land
Italy: Combined

Sorry. I wanted to enter this thread but, somehow, I was in a completely different thread. Totally confusing before I realized my error. Only noticed something about reserves. I am sorry about the espionage. [:(]

No port strikes or naval air.

The Italians try a bit of a punt. A task force of 2 BB and 9 CA's sails into the West Med. On the the CA's is loaded with the INF Div. I decline the intercept and the task force stops in the 3-box.

The San Giorgio scouts ahead of the main body, searching for the French fleet. No air support is added.

The French are caught moderately by surprise, allowing the Italian ships to close to near point blank range before opening fire (Searches: Axis 1, Allies 5. 8 surprise points used to increase damage). How do the French wish to allocate this?

X on the following ships.

In order:
CP
BB Lorraine
BB Jean Bart
CL Jeanne D'Arc

And the French force aborts to Mogador.

Edit: The French ships aborts to Algiers instead since Mogador is out of bounds.

The aborted Italian ships return to La Spezia.

Only the two CL's can reach Mogador. Do you still want them to go there and where do the BB's go?

The Italian Air Force's effort over Paris is less impressive.

Impulse: 3 (Axis)

Land movement:
Germany

German forces in the east move on Lodz
Denmark is occupied and the fleet suffers mixed fortunes. Importantly the convoy escapes, one warship is captured by the Germans and the other destroyed (8, 1 and 3 are thrown). Where does the convoy go to - it can't go to Plymouth. Edit: to move things along I'll place to Liverpool
Finally, troops move into Fortress Holland.

I'll hand back to AllenK for the rest of the impulse.
