41 ND i6 (cont):
1 attk near d-town:
43:14 +4.643 with Zhukov already committed but no winterized effect yet. 2 planes can fly for axis.
There are 6 winterized units attack, 2 of them halved across river. There are 2 AA guns both with 3 factors (3-2 AA) attacking.
What will Germany fly and where to RTB? Also what combat table to pick? I calculate that attack will be roughly +10 if both Axis planes fly and SU will pick combat table with Zhukov involved. There is also a MOTDIV attacking from the forest hex near d-town but I think first loss will be winterized anyway if blitz is chosen.

GE flies both bombers. Both Red Army AA divisions engage. Roll -1/2 results in 8,10 which aborts the Stuka and reduces the Me110 to 0 support so all air is waved off.

Zhukov uses winterized bonus and chooses assault for the combat.

Roll is a 16 so both German units are destroyed. INF + MIL + AA advance into the hex.

Not that it would make any difference, but the German ground support should have provided one point in defence. It is Germany who should have selected the aborted bomber, and thus the Me110 would have been aborted. And the Stuka reduced with 3 points to one. And weather would have halved that, but the rounding would have changed it back to one.

Each of Germany, Hungary, and Italy send out one FTR2 to the North Sea 2-box.

Italy send 1 CP to the East Med.

Italy activates the Axis SUBs in the Norwegian Sea.

If I say go with lower box only, CW gets 4 surprise points. Is that correct?

Then all points to increase damage to D 2A.

The German SUB is aborted.

I forgot to roll the second abort die, but it was a meaningless die roll anyway since the SUB would have been aborted regardless of what the last roll was.
