Surrounded Corps HQ

So i'm playing allies against AI Sidi Rezegh and I've been lucky enough surround DAK corps HQ west of Bardia. Q. What effect does this have on the enemy and what will it do over time (to the DAK HQ and its forces under command) if i don't attack just maintain a siege?

While surrounded, all organizations and units that traced supply to DAK HQ are considered to be in Extended Supply status--they cannot receive Combat+ supply. If DAK HQ is destroyed, its subordinate organizations and units will trace Extended Supply to closest higher HQ (Comando Supremo) or supply source (west edge of the map or Bardia).
