Convoys to Russia through Turkey?

Post by mdsmall »

My understanding is that a main motivation for the Entente attack on the Dardanelles in 1915 was to open up another supply route to Russia through Turkey. Does the 1914 Campaign allow for this if the Entente capture the Dardanelles and the Bosphorus? I can't see such a convoy route indicated on the Convoy Map. If not, could that option be added in a future update? It would give the British and French more reasons to launch a direct attack on Turkey towards Constantinople.

Hi Michael

There is no convoy as such, but if the Ottoman Empire withdraws from the war then Russia will receive 30 MPPs a turn representing trade via the Dardanelles.

M. Kemal not dominant at this time so Dardanelles, Constantinople surrender means Ottomans surrender. Not much militia from Anatolia. And still it is WW1, militia won't do much.
