I didnt see anything about the air sections not resetting, or however you would say it, anyway, you know where you set 2 air, then get 0...Or set for 0 and get 6..
Just wonderin. :D

That is a weather thing - if you set the weather to 1 it works. It gets set to zero becasue the weather nixs it. If you always set weather to 1 it works.

also Don't Click on a red aircraft or you lose a sortie

Did you manage to reproduce the arty target switching bug or was it too hard to fix?
15) Fixed reinforcement & retreat hexes not appearing with custom maps
(these are not saved with the maps, so they appear in the default location).
Thanks for this, guys. It was probably the most annoying bug for me and fixing it will really reduce the number of aborted games.

There apparently is a glitch with the install - I sent out some "exe and OOB only versions at the chat last night - Email me and I will be glad to send that package to you (or anybody else that wants the "guts" of it - minus the reworked sound files).

The artillery switching bug is one of those "logic bomb" sort of things where we risk breaking more trying to fix it. It seems only to come into play when you are using arty to self-spot and if you start withthe LAST unit in the formation and work up - it doesn't occur. (or don;t use artillery to spot for itself ;)

I will be putting together a list of work arounds for some of those things (like the aircraft sorties gong to 0 "bug' is actually the weather keeping the planes down - set weather to 1 and you will get them.

Any chance 5.2 download will be ready this weekend? My MC CD finally went completed mid week so I'm hoping to receive it any day and finally play both SPWAW 5.1 and MC soon. Upgraded to cable modem this week also so I quess I could test it and download 5.1 if it doesn't show by Tuesday. Expectations are giving me gray hairs!!!!!

Les,

Do this for me. Play SP religiously for about five years. Then screw up your game so that you can't play it because something went wrong with your 5.01 upgrade, and go for several months without being able to play SP while you watch everyone else having a blast, and see if you don't "grumble"....Yes, I could have re-downloaded everything, but I chose to just buy the MC CD instead, and just load everything fresh. I've waited patiently for my CD to come in, without foaming at the mouth, but someone rubbing salt in the wounds is a little more than I can take.

whooohoooo 5.2 yeah right on far out.

Hey that aint sarcasm I'm seriously happy here.

Question though. How many numbers do you go through before it gets to be a 6.0.

Just curious and obviously I have to much time on my hands to ask a question like that.

Is 5.2 going to be on the downloads page? Whats going to happen to all the 5.01 stuff there now?

Me I am ready for the download man, can hardly wait. Just bought a 40 gig drive too. Wont have to worry about getting it on a cd as fast this time, I will actually have enough space that I dont have to ditch it for some lame reason again.

Man I can hardly wait.

Oh and for all you grumblers out there waiting for your cd with Mega Campaign, well dont say you havent been given enough chances to just get the darn game. After all you are only buying Maga Campaign. So stop waiting to play 5.01. Its not like it will be the last version eh.

Again whoooohoooo want that 5.2 (hopefully the site isnt so busy like it was last time heheh, I got 5.01 while waiting to get through to get 5.1).

Will the happiness never end

I agree with you. Not everyone had the chance to download such a monster file. Besides I felt that buying the MC was my way of saying thanks to Matrix for giving us so many hours of free entertainment.

Was it the VID012.SMK file that had been reported as being corrupted on the MC CD? Just received and installed mine today and that's the video file that was bad on mine. Just wanted to make sure that was the one identified to be fixed within the patch to 5.2
In the MC is there anyway to choose sides. Only had it for a few hours and so far it was worth the wait. Keep up the great work Matrix, looking forward to more MC's in the future.

Hi

Yes the video file was fixed with v5.2 patch. MC can only be played from the German side.

Thanks David, just wanted to make sure that video file was the one being reported. Please check thread on Critical file backups. Thanks

Any idea when v5.2 will be available as a whole game/single download (waiting for my friend to burn it and send to me) ?

Is the complete download going to feature the new sounds, by the way? I don't particularly like the "swishy" sound of artillery, but others seemed improved (and at least the new arty fx aren't distorted).
