Shoud I buy & What theaters it covers ?

Post by CaptainFalcon »

What theaters does this game covers? I thought it covers the WW2 theaters overall. But judging from the sceenshots, I see something like a napoleonic era naval battle or something?

Also, I heard this game is getting remastered after Campaigns Series Vietnam comes out.
Do u think its better to wait a bit and get the modernized version, or this is a beast worth taking ?

It is a WWII tbs game. One of the best. At $9.90 it is a steal. It also includes a Battle maker, scenario editor and random map generator.

With the John Tiller Campaign Series you will get the three theaters; East Front, West Front, and Rising Sun all on one download/disk.
For a twenty year old system this series is a classic that plays well.
The team has upgraded the game and also created stand alone games Campaign Series Middle East and the soon to be released Campaign Series Vietnam. Each have a new game engine and features that "modernized" game system.

They will be re-making the old JTCS series in stand alone modules that will cover the East Front, West Front, and Pacific theaters in limited time frames. And, I understand, they will be adding to each module as they cover more time in each theater.

For the small amount of money it would cost to acquire JTCS you will have months and years of play in a system that has lasted a very long time. There are those in the hobby that will continue to play the game even after the new releases are remade over the next few years. You will find them in gaming clubs like The Blitz and the Wargaming Club for Gentleman.

If play by e-mail is your thing look me up after you join The Blitz (I am not a member of the other club).

Mike, I am facing some of life's challenges. But, I will take them on a day to day basis.

Otherwise, I have a few games going along with a campaign in EF. Plus, I joined the tourney over at The Blitz.

Hope you are well?

Ed, yep doing ok, still doing graphics. Was messing around with Squad Battles a little bit, but appears not much interest in that series, too bad. Maybe we will play against each other in the tourney!!

After internal heating debate, decide to bought Campaign Series over Paradox Darkest Hour (USD 9.9 too).
Its comparable with JTS Panzerbattles but more tactical. Great games all of it
