How many hours of daylight you got now? 16 or so?
Around 18 hours of daylight.

Today the sun goes up above the horizon at 3:42, and below the horizon at 21:50.

I do believe we are close to the time when we have no real night. It goes straight from dusk to dawn without ever passing night. It is just twilight. Actually, I think we already passed into that period. See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Twilight# ... o_the_next
Very interesting. Of course, in 6 months the reverse will happen.

We should move to a planet where one pole is always closer to the sun. [:D]

On a more serious note, I think that would be very, very, bad.

There is a much easier solution. We have a north pole and south pole and should now properly recognise the east pole and the west pole. One or the other will (almost) always be pointing closer to the sun.

If we had more than one sun, we would have less darkness.

Knowing my luck there would be one extra moon exactly synchronised to block it out ...

And if I was really unlucky it would look like this
