What type of AI does it have?

Post by Phoenix100 »

Thinking of trying this game. Can anyone tell me - what type of AI does it have? Is it the same AI as the entire CC series? And is that a strictly scripted AI, where all AI moves are set up for each scenario by the designer? Or dynamic, as is the AI in AB, for example, where the AI goes for objectives and such like, and has to work out for itself how best to do that?

Many thanks.

The enemy player level AI is new to The Bloody First. It is dynamic but can be influenced or constrained with scripting if you make your own scenarios. The soldier level AI model is tweaked a bit but it models the same behaviors factors as previous versions in terms of suppression, morale, etc.

Thanks Steve. So there is some dynamic AI. Excellent. What about the legacy series - GtC, PitF etc? Did they also have a measure of dynamic AI?

And, is there no way of turning off the icons and the objective graphics? The art work is superb, but those icons and the hard objective markers spoil the immersion a bit. Be nice to be able to flick them on and off.

Trust me, GtC and PiTF is still suck. Don't expect too much on CC Ai.
