Shift key does not enable aircraft carrier planes

Holding the shift key does not allow me to launch planes from seaplane or aircraft carriers. However, it works fine on recon bombers, so my shift key is working.

Are the Carriers operating in good weather, with no rains or storms in the hex they are in?

Just to add there is usually an indication within the sprite itself, e.g. either a storm or rain graphic, but this can be subtle. To know for sure, when you mouse hover over a hex, in the bottom left hand corner there is further info provided and it should indicate either rain, or sea storms etc.

Indeed that was the issue. I even loaded the 1917 campaign to try to figure it out, but every carrier starts off in a storm. It would be great if you guys could figure out a clearer UI response or make that part of the manual under a troubleshooting section.

Also, I couldn't use any search terms on your forums, so I apologize for posting this if it has been covered. Every search term I used came back with a "search term not found". I'm using Chrome on Windows 10.
