New Start Up Option

Could we get another option on start up to spawn a metal resource, mine, Industry II & Power Plant I? Easy mode is kicking my butt with 5/6 10 hour or so starts not having any metal and a slog to get any power source. Always get eaten by monsters/slavers/majors with metals.

I think beginner difficulty always generates a metal resource near your starting location? Similar to the water deposit on higher difficulties.
Are you not getting that?
