You know, I have observed that female nursing supervisors seem to have some of the most toxic personalities. It's not 100%. It depends on the culture of the hospital...but Lordy, Lordy (as a former freakishly tall but terrible basketball player might say). I suppose I am not permitted to say that but if you ask hospital nurses they will secretly tell you.

Stalker Girl ran up against a particularly nasty one. They call her at 3 AM and beg her to come in for an extra shift because they have some seriously sick patients in their unit and need the skill level. They offer her a $500 bonus and overtime and she feels an obligation so she goes in for a 14 hr shift. The next day she is trying to catch up on some sleep and the nursing manager calls her and wakes her up and tells her she didn't deserve the special pay as if it was some kind of conspiracy. [:@]

If somebody called me and woke me up and made such an inference I would drop the F-bomb about 15 times and then call in political chits later to repair the damage. Women just do things differently. Instead of confronting the accuser they tend to internalize the accusation. Now, as a manager I have been to enough touchy-feely classes to know that what you do is first complement or thank the employee for the extra shift and THEN ask a question about how it was approved. Then you wait for the answer and say "If I understand you correctly, the night supervisor approved the overtime".

It's the freaking COVID thing. It is putting enormous stresses on the entire medical field.

Sumatra: We start landing and it goes incredibly well. No significant Jap attacks on the landing forces. Benkoelen gets roughed up a bit but no shipping losses. The problem is the fighter groups on the carriers are at 50% fatigue so I have to call off any further unloading and get the troopships back.


Our guys also claim BOTH Nagato and Kirishima sunk on the 13th. They were hit but I don't believe they were sunk. It would be great news but you can't trust these guys.

FYI, the 3rd season of Narcos is fantastic. The curiously charismatic Pablo has "assumed room temperature" so "la DEA" switches over to the Cali Cartel. We learn that the cowboy position seems to be favored position for hot Colombian women and about 20% of the narcos seem to be gay.

I got a ride back from the airport after my fishing trip from a Colombian driver. I rewarded him with my Pablo Escobar imitation......"Plato...............o plomo"

He was so excited I thought we were going to crash into a light post.
