GR Automatus - how to attack with it

I was lucky enough to find this unit and it appeared already in place on a stack of units adjacent to a city I am attacking. How do I attack with it? When I mouse over the adjacent enemy unit the red attack arrow doesn't appear. And right clicking on the adjacent enemy unit doesn't initiate the attack.

Since they are immobile they are defense only. They're static turrets that can only be moved by strategic move.

Yeah you basically have to cry and wish you got the tanks instead
