Assets "connected to zone capital" need a road?

Post by Sieppo »

There are for example some energy and research hex tile assets, that if I remember correctly, deliver the bonus if "they are connected to the zone capital". Does this "connect" mean needing to build a road to it or just that it's your territory? At work so cannot remember the exact words used.

No. The one tile bonus hexes do not need roads, they just need to be in your territory and not cut off from the zone city.

You DO need roads to any industries (both public and private) because the logistics system needs to deliver the workers and IP and power and whatever else they need to run.

Not to nitpick but only to avoid confusion, those are actually called « Hex Perks ». And as LordAldrich pointed out they obey different rules than Assets.

However they do appear in the Assets tab, just like Free Folk settlements do. (I'm looking at 3.9.4. « THE ASSET TAB » in the manual.) The Gas Domes we always get at the start for covering power needs is an Hex Perk.

(Wow I didn't know yet it was possible to delegate Assets to another zone. What do I know...)
