G letter on top left of the counter

What about the "G" letter on this counter?
There is nothing in the manual about it.

Guard mode.
You've pressed 0 (or it's a bug and it automatically went on Guard) with the unit selected.

All it does is mean that cycling through your units which have AP left with 8 or 9 keys does not include them.

Press Q to remove all units from guard mode iirc.
