online game shows 168.198.0.1 IP and SP WaW online dont work right

online game shows 168.198.0.1 IP and SP WaW online dont work right

since a few days...it was working right before it is showing me the internal IP instead of the external...i have no router and firewall up or down it is the same..


only program i installed and deinstalled during this time was net-peeker and i remember i closed 2 UDP-ports...


but other games still show the right IP, only SP WaW not....what i can do..which file i may edit to link to the right IP if i want play online...

btw. I can join another game but cannot host anymore...because the game tells me the wrong IP and my freinds PC cannot find the game because of that..

If you have one of the Linksys routers like I have you can set one computer in a dmz where it appears to be connected directly to the cablemodem or dsl. That is how I have to get a comp on my net here at the apt to appear on the internet as a host for games.
